The Dragunare are supposed to be figures of women connected to the greek myth of Medusa.
In the story passed down in the village of Palmi in Calabria, Italy, these women sit on the shore of the coast of Palmi on theb Ionian Sea and - at the time when the wind blows - they do cut it using a sword in order to give it a direction and to canalize voices coming from the sea towards the entire coast.
I asked women in pictures to sit on a table and to practice an action dealing with cutting.
The result is a photographic work and it forms the very first research on Parcae, which I developed as a theatre performance for stage in 2022.
