A research-based photographic work started in 2016 at Campocatino Observatory (IT) during a two weeks of residency with Lumen Studios, UK.
Due to urban pollution, to stare at a clear sky and to a crystal-clear vision of stars and constellations is becoming more and more difficult. In 2017, London reached the annual allowed limit of carbon dioxid for the whole year already from January 2017. The work questions the condition of eye-visibility as well as on aesthetics of glitch and astronomical iconography. Setting itself in the philosophical dialectic between science and magic, Impossibility to see sky embeds a viewpoint of a standard analog photographic lens (50mm), stating its limitations to capture astronomical landscapes in favour of a partial representation of the sky which allow magical thinking perspectives to build up their imaginary.
