As artist-researcher Maria Luigia’s practice appears in journals, research magazines, as well as mentioned in academic archives and academic thesis from institutions among which Reinwart Academy, Amsterdam (thesis author by Minal Naomi Wickermatunge, Investigating Decoloniality via Contemporary Art Interventions in Museum and Heritage Sites, MA Museum and Heritage Studies); archive of Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste in Switzerland; IO01 Umanesimo Tecnologico and others. 

She is co-editor and curator of “Archivalia” edited by
In-ruins and published in 2023, a research volume on contemporary arts and the expanded notion of archaeology. 

Her work as a theatre artist has been reviewed, among others, on Teatro e Critica,  Cordelia (October 2022); Persinsala (2024); she has been included with an interview in the catalog ‘The Emerald Book’ of Venice Biennale, Biennale Teatro 2023, where she has been finalist theatre director under 35.
Her editorial review on the belgian theatre company FC Bergman has been awarded with “Dance Rewrite Prize 2025” by Campadidanza Dance Magazine AIRDanza – Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sulla Danza in collaboration with ANCT – Associazione Nazionale dei Critici di Teatro, Italy.
 
She released several interviews either on her artistic practice as well as on her curatorial activity. Her work has been announced/ mentioned/ interviewed among leading art magazines and platforms in Italy and beyond, among which: Altremuse, Artribune, ATPDiary, Juliet Art Magazine, KABUL Magazine, Interni Magazine, Fondazione Imago Mundi, Il Sole 24 Ore, Abitare, Inside Art, Exibart, Aesthetica Art Magazine, La Repubblica, Sky Arte, Espoarte, Il Giornale dell’Arte, Contemporary Lynx, Arsty, Artslife, Artuu, Space 52 - Greece, and others.

Her fictional poetry writing has been selected with special mention of merit by Puntoacapo Editions, Bologna, Italy and published by independent publisher  Casa Cicca Museum, Milan.
She has been mentioned appearing in books and chapters of books among which: Endless Residency by G. Verago and C. Angelucci, edited by postmediabooks; Strange Bodies by Tom De Freston edited by Granta Publishing; L’autoscatto nella Fotografia Contemporanea by G. Bonomi, edited by Rubbettino.

From 2022 to 2024 Maria Luigia worked as arts editor for Nova Express Magazine, for which she curated fashion art editorials and interviews in collaboration with brands such as:  Missoni, Aspesi, Bottega Veneta, Hermès and others; and with artists among which Bracha L. Ettinger, Ali Blank, Marianna Simnett, Asad Raza.
